Campbell Brown is an American journalist and former television news anchor. She is best known for her eight-year tenure as co-anchor of NBC's Weekend Today and anchor of CNN's Campbell Brown. She is currently the host of the podcast "The Campbell Brown Show" and the founder of the education reform organization, The 74. Brown was born in Ferriday, Louisiana, and grew up in nearby Natchez, Mississippi. She graduated from the University of Virginia in 1990 with a degree in American Studies. Brown began her career as a reporter for NBC affiliate WDSU-TV in New Orleans. She then moved to NBC's Washington, D.C. bureau, where she covered the White House and Capitol Hill. In 2000, she was named co-anchor of Weekend Today, where she remained until 2008. In 2008, Brown joined CNN as the anchor of her own show, Campbell Brown. She left the network in 2010. In 2011, Brown founded The 74, an education reform organization. She is also the host of the podcast "The Campbell Brown Show." Brown is married to Dan Senor, a former foreign policy advisor to Mitt Romney. They have two children.
